Frequently Asked Questions

How may we be of help?

To report a security vulnerability or learn more about our security practices, please visit our security page here.

If your security concern is specific to your own Tinder account (e.g. you believe your account’s been compromised), please don’t contact our security team. The best resource for these concerns is our customer support team – they can be contacted here at any time.

If you notice suspicious activity on your account, such as messages you didn’t send or photos you haven’t uploaded, there are some things you can do to ensure your account is secure.

Facebook login
If you think someone has gained unauthorized access to your Facebook account, visit Facebook’s Help Center for immediate and direct support.

Phone number login
To keep your account safe, we require SMS verification when you log in to Tinder using your phone number. If someone were to attempt to access your account using your phone number, they wouldn’t be able to login successfully without the SMS verification code that’s sent to your phone. We highly recommend that you never share these codes with anyone.

  1. Sign in to the Tinder app
  2. Tap the profile icon
  3. Go to Settings
  4. Scroll down and select Delete Account

Note: Deleting the Tinder app does not delete your account.
